Richard Acton April Artist of the Month

Each month, River City Art Association selects one of its members to display several items of their work in a virtual show through the Vigo County Public Library. As the April Artist of the Month, Richard’s work will be featured in a YouTube video created by the library.

Richard has always lived in Terre Haute with his family.  He and his wife have three children with numerous  grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He attended a local high school and received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Indiana State University.  Teaching Industrial Arts taught him valuable lessons that he can use in his work with clay. Work you will see in the virtual show:  an angel shaped into the clay,  birds fighting over a tree branch, a bunny hopping through the grass, and a lovely lighthouse at the edge of the water guiding people to safety.
