RCAA artists receive honors at Wabash Valley Art Guild’s 37th Annual Spring Show

Best in Show: Cliff by Steve Harrold

Nine River City Art Assocition members received honors at the Wabash Valley Art Guild’s Annual Spring Show reception May 5 in the Clabber Girl Museum at Terre Haute.

Their artwork will remain on display throughout May in The Gallery at Clabber Girl.

Best of Show went to Steve Harrold of West Terre Haute for his painting, “Cliff.”

Also in this category, Michael Elmore received Second Place for his entry, “Untitled,” and RCAA founding member Monty “Indiana” Jones was awarded an Honorable Mention for his “Outfoxing the Hound.”

In the 3D category, Bruce Fiscus received an Honorable Mention for his sculpture, “Wise Bird,” and RCAA vice president Todd Stokes was awarded an Honorable Mention for his glass etching titled “Family.”

In the Photography/Digital Art category, Debbie Goodin of Terre Haute received First Place for her entry, “Hawthorn Reflections.” And RCAA secretary Sheila K. Ter Meer of Brazil was awarded an Honorable Mention for her image on canvas board titled “I Spy With My Little Eye.”

Founding member Ruthann Brady received two awards in the Mixed Media category: a First Place for “Kinship” and Second Place for “Sienna.”

Also in this category, Third Place went to RCAA treasurer Edith Acton of Terre Haute for her fused glass wall hanging, “Shadow of a Flower.”
