Several illustrations by Hogan Sloop are featured in RCAA’s September Artist of the Month gallery space in the Vigo County Public Library in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana.
Hogan joined River City Art Association just before August and submitted exampls of his artwork in the RCAA 18th Annual Juried Art Exhibit.
Hogan says he has a large list of influences, chief among them being John William Waterhouse.
“Things that rouse my soul, soothe me, fill me with the deepest existential pains” or something that inspires a laugh inside, Hogan says are packed into the artwork he has on display.
The illustrations are not titled but Hogan does include his contact information in his artist statement accompanying his artwork.
