Portrait artist featured in RCAA Community Outreach Gallery

A selection of artwork created by Kari Rajkumar will be on display in the River City Art Association Community Outreach Gallery housed in the cafeteria of Regional Hospital at 3901 S. 7th St. in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The show is scheduled to run from mid-January until mid-April, 2023.  Cafeteria’s hours are: 7 days a week, 6:30a-9:30a; 11a-1:30p; 5-7:30p.  All times listed are EST.  Door 17 is the nearest outside entrance to the cafeteria.

Kari Rajkumar is a primarily self-taught artist living and working in the Wabash Valley.  She works in Graphite, Pastel, Oils, and sometimes a bit of Charcoal or Watercolor just for fun.

In all her portraits, Kari wishes to highlight qualities of the subject that capture and hold her attention the longest – be it quiet confidence, or integrity, or grace of movement. Always, it is the goodness and uniqueness she sees in these individuals that compels her to memorialize it in her art. She also credits a deep love of nature, color, and history as strong influences.
