RCAA members receive awards at Covered Bridge Art Gallery Abstract April show

Four River City Art Association members received honors April 25 at the closing of Covered Bridge Art Association’s Abstract April open show in the Gallery at Rockville.

Juror Laura Mason awarded Lynne Dunnavant’s watercolor “Safely Colorful” First Place.

Jan McVay’s mixed media piece, “Dusty Sings Oh Suzanna,” received Second Place, and her mixed media entry, “I’m All Torn Up,” an Honorable Mention.

Another Honorable Mention went to “Untitled,” a three-dimensional glass etching by Todd Stokes.

And the “Most Popular” award went to Christel Gutelius for her painting, “Meditation.”

Also participating in the Abstract April show were RCAA members Edith Acton (fused glass), Eloise Lovell (mixed media), Steven Raez (acrylic painting), Sheila Ter Meer (photography-digitally enhanced) and Thomas Wright (photography).
