Monty ‘Indiana’ Jones receives Merit Award at ‘Painting the Prairie’ exhibit at Illinois gallery

Congratulations to River City Art Association’s founding member Monty “Indiana” Jones of Terre Haute, Indiana, on his winning artwork in the first “Painting the Prairie” exhibit at the Bicentennial Art Center in Paris, Illinois.

Juror Christy Brinkman-Robertson chose Monty’s acrylic “Homeward Bound” for a Merit Award.

An awards reception will begin at 5 p.m. CDT on Friday, May 17.  The juror will critique the exhibit and hand out the awards at about 5:30 p.m.
