Fall show in Clabber Girl gallery to celebrate Vigo County’s Bicentennial

River City Art Association invites the community to “Fall for Vigo County” at its Bicentennial-themed fall show in October in The Gallery at Clabber Girl Museum in downtown Terre Haute, Indiana.

The First Friday opening reception with light refreshments is scheduled 6 to 8 p.m. in the museum at 900 Wabash Ave.

Some of the works will highlight Vigo County’s 200-year history in Indiana.

Other artwork will showcase the vibrant colors of fall that enhance the Vigo County landscape.

Media include acrylic, oil, watercolor and encaustic paintings; photography and digital art; pyrography; ceramics-clay; fabric-threads; fused and etched glass; and mixed media.

The fall show can be viewed during regular museum hours through Oct. 27.

RCAA’s next monthly meeting will be a pitch-in dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Oberlandler Shelter in Deming Park. Meat will be furnished; members and guests are to bring their own table service, a covered dish or dessert, and preferred beverage.

For membership details, visit RiverCityArt.org or contact RCAA Past President Todd Stokes at 812-232-0048.
