Photographer Spencer Young August artist of the month at Vigo library

Gobi Desert Dune by Spencer Young

Photographic works by Spencer Young of Clinton, Indiana, will be featured throughout August in River City Art Association’s Artist of the Month gallery space in the Vigo County Public Library at Seventh and Poplar streets in Terre Haute.

The subject of Young’s display is his trip to China in 2008, including this image titled “Gobi Desert Dune.”

Young also has award-winning artwork this month in the Annual Midwest Photography Juried Exhibition in the Paris Bicentennial Art Center and Museum in Paris, Illinois. There he received a Second Place, an Honorable Mention, and the coveted Paris Bridge Club Choice Award.

RCAA membership is open to Indiana and Illinois artists age 18 and older. The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted. For more details, call past president Todd Stokes at 812-232-0048.
