Artwork by River City Art Association member Eugene A. Thomas will be featured in August in the Covered Bridge Art Association Gallery in Rockville, Indiana.
“The Anna Kristina” by the Vermillion County resident won a First Place and Best of Show at the July 2017 Associate Members Show hosted by CBAA, which also included the opportunity to showcase his work in a one-man show this year.
“Gene” is mostly self-taught. “I like most kinds of art,” he says, “but tend toward realist forms.”
He exhibits original oil paintings as well as prints of his original artwork on paper and canvas.
Also in 2017, Gene’s oil painting, “Bowling Green East,” received a Merit Award in the Annual Fall Show Juried Exhibition in the Bicentennial Art Center and Museum at Paris, Illinois.
Gene and his wife, Susie, live in Fairview Park, near Clinton, Indiana.
