RCAA’s Stokes and Young receive honors at Annual Midwest Photography Juried Exhibition

Congratulations to River City Art Association members Todd Stokes of Dennison, Ill., and Spencer Young of Clinton, Ind., for placing at the Annual Midwest Photography Juried Exhibition in the Paris Bicentennial Art Center and Museum in Paris, Ill.

Judge Ed Gillum of Paris, also a professional photographer, awarded Young a Second Place for his “Moonrise Over Cayuga Station” and an Honorable Mention for his “Badlands Vista.”

Fourth Place went to Stokes for his photograph, “Walking Wabashiki,” and an Honorable Mention for his entries “Stretch of Corn” and “Ephemeral Forest.”

At the July 20 opening reception, judge Ed Gillum critiqued the exhibit before handing out awards.

A special honor was awarded Spencer during the opening reception. His “Moonrise Over Cayuga Station” also received the coveted Paris Bridge Club Choice Award.
