The Terre Haute Sinfonietta Pops Orchestra will begin its 2017-18 concert season on Oct. 15 with “Saturday Night and Sunday Morning” and another exhibit by River City Art Association at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
This is the second season for RCAA artists to exhibit their works from noon until 4:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Cecilian Auditorium in the Conservatory of Music. Their exhibit will include a variety of art forms including mixed media, pastels, oils and photography. Some of the exhibiting artists will be on hand to discuss their works, some available for purchase.
The concert begins at 2 p.m.
“Saturday Night and Sunday Morning” will musically describe the gaiety and even the rowdiness of a Saturday night on the town followed by the serenity and reflection of a Sunday morning.
Admission to the concert is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and children under age 10 are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door; there will be no reserved seats.
There is no cost to attend the art exhibit in the lobby.
