RCAA’s Monty Jones takes First Place at Indiana Wildlife Artists exhibition

River City Art Association congratulates founding member Monty “Indiana” Jones of Terre Haute on his recent honor at the Indiana Wildlife Artists 34th Annual Fine Art Exhibition in Indianapolis.

First Place: “Outfoxing the Hounds”

On Saturday, Aug. 26, Monty’s painting “Outfoxing the Hounds” was awarded First Place.

“A mounted fox at Clifty Falls State Park was my model for this painting,” Monty said.

The show is free to the public through Sept. 28 in the Second Presbyterian Church at 7700 N. Meridian St. in Indianapolis.

I love my God, my country, my family, my time with friends, sitcoms and photography. I like crowds, walking in falling snow or summer rain, chocolate, wine tastings, weekend campfires, and travel by plane, train, tour bus and automobile.
