River City Art Association members Judith Lynn Smith of Waveland and Sheila K. Ter Meer of Brazil, Indiana are among artists to be featured in the “Black & White” exhibition at Arts Illiana Gallery in Terre Haute.

An opening reception is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, in the gallery at 23 N. Sixth St. Artwork can be viewed through April 21.

Guest curator Rita Spalding of Indianapolis chose Smith’s “Moonscape,” and Ter Meer’s “Toward the Light” from entries in the nationwide call for artists.

Smith’s oil on canvas is part of her current sunrise/sunset/moonscape series.

Ter Meer’s image is part of her abstract photography collection.
