River City Art Association Inc. in Terre Haute now has three Artist of the Month galleries to showcase artwork by its members.
In addition to the monthly exhibit in the Vigo County Public Library, a different artist will be featured each month in Sycamore Manor Senior Living Community at 222 S. 25th St. and at Harrison College at Indiana 46 and Hulman Street.
Fused glass wall hangings by Edith Acton of Terre Haute are currently featured in the library at Seventh and Poplar streets.
Sheila K. Ter Meer of Brazil is the Artist of the Month for July in the dining area of Sycamore Manor. And landscape photographer Spencer Young of Clinton is the featured artist throughout July at Harrison College.
In August, Young will share gallery space in the library with wood turner Dave Gahimer of Bridgeton. Acton will display her fused glass in Sycamore Manor and Ter Meer’s photographic works will be showcased in the gallery at Harrison College.
RCAA meets at 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the Vigo County Public Library. For membership information contact president Todd Stokes at 812-232-0048.
