Fused glass artwork by Edith Acton of Terre Haute will be featured throughout June in The Gallery at Clabber Girl Hulman & Company Museum at 900 Wabash Ave.
The exhibit will showcase the local artisan’s jewelry and wall hangings in a variety of colorful creations.
Acton has worked with this medium for eight or nine years and has designed countless pieces, each one-of-a-kind due to the process used to reinvent the colored glass into art.
Acton is an active member of River City Art Association, Wabash Valley Art Guild and Arts Illiana. In addition to shows sponsored by those groups, she displays her fused glass creations at festivals and other art events in Terre Haute and the surrounding area. Her artwork also is featured on the Rivers & Roads Artisan Trail website at http://www.riversandroadstrail.com.
Acton’s work may be viewed during regular Clabber Girl Museum hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, call 812-232-9446.
