RCAA member Don Turner takes Best of Show at Big Read exhibit

TERRE HAUTE – The March exhibit at the Vigo County Public Library features artwork by four RCAA members inspired by “The Magnificent Ambersons,” by Booth Tarkington, the book selection for the 2014 Wabash Valley Big Read.

Best of Show: “It’s goodbye …” by Don Turner

RCAA member Don Turner’s charcoal on paper titled “It’s goodbye …” was awarded Best of Show at the March 7 opening reception.

Other entries include “Audrey,” photos on paper, by Jan Skipo; “Historic Home,” oil on canvas, by Judith Lynn Smith; and “Downward Spiral,” photo manipulation by Sheila K. Ter Meer.

A fifth entry in the exhibit, a pen and ink on paper title “Tea Time,” is by Jo Anne Perigo Fiscus, member of the Wabash Valley Art Guild.
