Watercolor artist, author/illustrator to present at Sept. 9 RCAA meeting

River City Art Association member Shelley Rea Crouch of Casey, Illinois will be guest presenter at RCAA’s open membership meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, in the Vigo County Public Library, Seventh and Walnut streets, downtown Terre Haute, Indiana. Non-members are welcome to attend.

Shelley has won awards for her watercolor entries at area exhibits. She also is author/illustrator of the 2-book series “Exploring Nature Through Art” featured above.

Shelley will show and discuss her paperbacks.

“It is my hope to endear children to the natural world around them using art as the medium,” Shelley said, “in the hopes of also instilling a love and appreciation of art from a very young age.”

Shelley also will talk about making art or photography board books online as a way to connect with the young people in your life or making books online to preserve your art portfolio or that of a loved one.
