Madison King featured artist in RCAA Outreach Gallery

Madison King of Terre Haute is the featured artist in RCAA’s Community Outreach Gallery in Corporate Square at 2901 Ohio Blvd. through mid-January 2026. Maddie’s digital illustrations, paintings and photographs are located on the main and second floor of the lobby entrance.

Maddie’s art journey:

“My art journey started when I was quite young. I’d always loved creating, though it wasn’t until middle school that I really found a passion for drawings. The art room was an escape from the pressures of bullying; a safe haven. There, I discovered a love of cartoons and comics, which eventually blossomed into a B.F.A. in Animation from Ball State University.

“Soon after graduation I moved to Austin, Texas, to pursue a career in animation, though I discovered my passions laid with comics instead. I worked on a few comics of my own, and even had the opportunity to work as a content intern at the largest webcomic platform, WEBTOON. Though with COVID, I returned to my hometown of Terre Haute. I eventually opened MuseArt Terre Haute, the area’s premier art supply store. There I’ve had the opportunity to take part in bringing art to our community, be it through events or art classes.

“Currently, my main mediums are digital illustration, acrylic, and ink in my personal work. I love the theme of strong women, though I’m not afraid to mix it up. When it comes to what I’d call my style, I’d say it’s “illustrative realism.” I do sell my work, as well as accept commissions.”
