Congrats to member Donna Pomfret for her Best in Show award announced at the April 23 reception for the Vigo County Public Library NEA Big Read art exhibition titled “The Beauty of Different” in downtown Terre Haute. Guest judge and Terre Haute artist Shayla Fish selected Donna’s painting titled “Unnoticed.”
Also congrats to RCAA president Mary Mayhew. Her oil painting on canvas board titled “Speed” received the People’s Choice award. The 2025 Big Read book selection was “Sitting Pretty: The View from My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Body,” by Rebekah Taussig.
