Painting by Mary Mayhew receives People’s Choice honor at RCAA membership show

River City Art Association president Mary Mayhew of Terre Haute received the People’s Choice Award for her oil painting, “Beauty Will Rise,” at the close of RCAA’s Oct. 19-Nov. 9 membership show in Gaslight Art Colony Gallery at Marshall, Illinois.

The show featured works by 17 RCAA artists.

Mayhew’s portrait of a granddaughter will remain on display throughout Gaslight’s final show of the year ending Dec. 20.
