“There’s a lot, a lot of talent in this hall right now,” Amy MacLennan, Swope Art Museum art curator, acknowledged during the Aug. 2 awards ceremony at the 16th Annual RCAA Juried Art Exhibit in First Financial Bank Plaza in downtown Terre Haute.
The exhibit of more than 80 works by 36 artists is open through Aug. 29 during regular banking hours.
MacLennan awarded Best of Show to member Michael Lunsford for his photography entry “Morning Coffee.”

First Place winners include Cathie Laska for “Moon over the Ocean” in mixed media, Todd Stokes for “Untitled” in the ceramics/glass category, Mary Mayhew for “Hmmm….” in drawing, David Gill for his painting “One Spring’s Tulips,” Jennifer Minnis for “Wemyss Bay Station” in photography, and Johanna Ochs for “Where You Go, I Go” in the digital category.

Another recognition at the Annual RCAA Juried Art Exhibit is the Artists Choice Award which is determined from votes by artists attending the opening reception. Kudos! Maria Jessee! Her charcoal drawing is titled “Jamie.”
Award winners in this exhibit will be featured in September in the lobby of First Financial Bank’s Springhill location. Also, the People’s Choice Award, determined by votes by bank patrons through Aug. 29, will be announced and included in the September exhibit.
Thank you to all 36 artists who entered our 16th Annual Juried Art Exhibit.
