Kari Rajkumar’s work chosen for international competition

Molly – Thought and Memory by Kari Rajkumar

Congratulations to River City Art Association member Kari Rajkumar of Paris, Ill.

Kari’s oil painting, “Molly Thought & Memory,” is one of 150 works selected to be a finalist in  the 2018 Fall International Online Exhibition conducted by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society (NOAPS).  The finalists were chosen from more than 1,000 entries from nearly every state in the U.S., as well as other countries, such as Canada, Mexico, Poland, Malaysia and China, to name a few.

A self-taught artist, Kari specializes primarily in portraiture.  She works in oil, pastel, and graphite, and has garnered national and international recognition in all three media.  Also in fall 2018, she exhibited 10 of her works as part of a four-woman show at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute.

The online exhibition is viewable on the NOAPS website until Dec 16, 2019.  More about the artist can be viewed on Kari’s website, http://www.karirajkumar.com.  Or, find her on Facebook.
