Spencer Young July Artist of the Month at Harrison College

Works by River City Art Association member Spencer Young of Clinton are on display throughout July at RCAA’s newest Artist of the Month Gallery in Harrison College at Indiana 46 and Hulman Street in Terre Haute.

Young holds a bachelor’s degree in astronomy from Northwestern University and a master of science from Iowa State University. For several years he was an assistant photographer and darkroom operator for a portrait and wedding studio. Young is a landscape photographer however, capturing solar eclipses is high on his list of priorities. CAD drawing is his third interest. Young’s photos took first place in the 2012 and 2013 RCAA Fall Show and second place in the 2013 Midwest Photography Contest at the Bicentennial Art Center and Museum in Paris, Ill. He currently has work on display at Arts Illiana and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, and in RCAA’s group exhibition throughout July in Art Sanctuary in Martinsville, Indiana.
